Our Story
Since 1912, this has been the place our community calls home.
About
Situated in the leafy northern suburbs of Sydney is the Cheltenham Recreation Club, easily accessible by public transport, boasting the train station opposite and abundant parking within club grounds.
Cheltenham Recreation Club was established in 1912 on land generously donated by William Harris. What began as a small sporting ground has grown into the heart of our community — a not-for-profit club where neighbours become friends over a game of tennis, croquet, real tennis, a meal at Molly's Pavilion, or simply a chat by the courts.
Generations of local families have grown up here, and we're proud to keep that tradition going today.
The club is the home of Molly’s Pavilion Cafe where members and visitors come to relax, socialise and enjoy their coffee with cake or breakfast/lunch while enjoying the ambience of the surrounding area.
The club is also available for function hire.
Acknowledgement of Country
The Cheltenham Recreation Club acknowledges and pays respect to the past, present and future Traditional Custodians and Elders of this nation and the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
